Abstract

This study aims to determine the process and learning outcomes of students in basic electronics 2 courses with the Flipped Classroom model on logic gate material. The type of research is quantitative research, a quasi-experimental model with a non-equal pretest posttest control group design, the sample studied in the experimental class and the control class amounted to 13 people determined based on random sampling techniques. The population taken in this study were all students taking the basic electronics 2 course. The research data was generated using an 8-item Essay test instrument. Based on the results of data processing, the average posttest score in the experimental class was 81.15 compared to the average posttest of the control class of 65.62. Then a statistical analysis was carried out in the form of a t-test analysis (Independent sample t-test) obtained a value of 0.001 <0.05 which showed a significant difference between the posttest of the control class and the posttest of the experimental class. Then the results of the process assessment obtained an average value of 92% thus it can be concluded that the application of the flipped classroom learning model in basic electronics 2 courses on logic gate material can improve student learning outcomes. The Flipped Classroom learning model can be used as an alternative effective learning strategy to improve student learning outcomes in the Basic Electronics 2 course, as well as encourage more active, independent, and student-centered learning.
