Publication Ethics Statement

Jurnal FisTa: Fisika dan Terapannya is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and preventing publication malpractice. All parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to follow ethical standards in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Duties of Editors

Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts based on their academic merit, including originality, clarity, significance, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased review process, maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, and avoid conflicts of interest. Editors are responsible for making the final decision regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of manuscripts based on reviewers’ recommendations.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers support the editorial process by providing objective and constructive evaluations of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers are expected to complete their reviews within the specified timeframe, provide clear comments and recommendations, and maintain the confidentiality of the review process. Reviewers should also identify relevant published work that has not been cited and inform the editor of any possible ethical concerns, including plagiarism or duplicate publication.

Duties of Authors

Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original and has not been previously published or submitted to another journal. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data, analysis, and results presented in their manuscripts. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be provided through appropriate citation. Authors are expected to respond to reviewers’ comments professionally and promptly. If significant errors are discovered after publication, authors must immediately notify the editor so that corrections or retractions can be made when necessary.

Ethical Issues

The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and duplicate submission. All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection tools. Any form of unethical publishing behavior is unacceptable and may result in actions such as manuscript rejection or article retraction.
